Create a live broadcast using an encoder

There are three ways to stream content to YouTube: using a webcam,

a mobile device, or an encoder (streaming device or software).

With an encoder,

you can: share your screen or broadcast a video of games played;
use external audio and video equipment;
manage a complex production (several cameras and microphones,

for example).
Follow the steps below to start your first live broadcast.

1. Enable live streaming

It may take up to 24 hours for the live streaming

functionality to activate for the first time.

Once the feature is activated, you can go live immediately.
